About the Owner
After years of working for a variety of landscape and construction companies, learning the right way to do business, how to be professional and how to build lasting impressions with customers, Nick Kamataris decided to go out on his own. He wanted to build a company based upon trust between business and the consumer. What started off as a small venture on the side has grown into an excellent small business. He takes a great deal of pride in his work and is always trying to learn new ways to improve customer service. His professionalism both on-site and in the office continue to improve the business as a whole, and he hopes to continue down the path he is currently on in which customers genuinely trust his opinion and advice and therefore he is able to create customers for life.
Our team is comprised of both college educated professionals, and young professionals learning on the job each day. All of our workers understand the importance of getting it right the first time, and work diligently to make that happen for you the customer. We feel it is our obligation to impress you with both our professionalism on site, and our exceptionally high quality of work so that we get our working relationship off on the right foot and start working towards making you a customer for life.
Our employees wear uniforms and conduct themselves professionally while working on your property so that if you have any questions during one of our jobs, you can get quick and informative answers. Should you ever have any further questions, our teams in the field will put you in direct contact with our owner Nick Kamataris to get things sorted out in a timely manner.
We provide weekly/bi-weekly mowing services. It includes bagging the grass clippings when necessary, string trimming around all mulch beds, lawn obstacles, or structures, as well as blow clean all decks, driveways, patios, etc. before leaving your property.
Plowing / Snow Removal
We do not service residential properties. We are strictly a commercial snow service company during the winter months. We have a knowledgeable staff of experienced workers who work quickly and efficiently to clear your parking lots and properties of snow and ice, and keep them safe for use during snow storms.
We do not fertilize lawns in-house. We sub-contract with a local company called Emerald Acres. We do not make any money on this service, but rather we refer you to them knowing that they treat our customers exactly the way we do. We are also able to schedule your fertilization around our mowing schedule so that you get the most out of their services.
We design and install a large variety of hardscapes. We have an in-house mason with years of experience and high-quality work under his belt and we work with several manufacturers of pavers and walkway/patio products to ensure you get exactly what you are looking for.
We typically prune shrubs and trees in the late Spring or Fall. This way we do not interrupt the budding or flowering of your ornamentals. We will do a walk through to make sure we know exactly the size and shape you are looking for, leaving your property looking immaculate.
Clean out all mulch beds and beneath all shrubs and trees. We will then blow the entire property clean of debris. In the Spring, it consists of getting the lawn ready for the season ahead, whereas in the Fall, we typically remove debris so upcoming snow will have as little effect on the health of the lawn as possible.
We perform both regular maintenance as well as new installations of irrigation systems. We will ensure your lawn and ornamental shrubs and trees are getting the proper amount of water which they need to retain health in our New England climate.
Aeration is a key element in the health of your lawn. A soft plug aerator will pull plugs ¾” in diameter and approximately 3 inches deep to allow water and fertilizer nutrients to more effectively reach the root system, as well as help prevent the lawn soil from becoming compacted during the dry summer months.
This process is done with a spring-tine thatching machine. It lifts the bed of dead grass away from the surface of the soil allowing water and nutrients to more effectively reach the roots of the grass. It is typically done in the Spring as part of a Spring Cleanup. The combination is a recipe for one of the healthiest lawns you can grow.
SMALL TREE WORK
We are not a tree company, but we will gladly look at any job and will cut down and remove any trees we feel confident about working with. If we have any hesitation at all, we will refer you to a professional tree company who can help you get the job done.
We would be happy to meet with you and discuss what you are interested in planting, as well as help you design the layout. We purchase our shrubs from several local nurseries ensuring you get both a great price and quality of the shrub or tree.
We are happy to walk you through the process of installing a new lawn, or renovating areas of your property that need help. There are several options and we would love the opportunity to explain each and help you choose the one that is best for your application.
